January 1, 2016... I can't believe another year has already passed! It's amazing how fast time flies the older you get. 2015 taught me a lot, a lot about myself... a lot about other people... a lot about horses... a lot about the world.
So first off I guess I should say "Happy Birthday" to Runbridled (Grace) 6 yrs old, Etoile Royale (Hope) 4 yrs old, Ripit 7 yrs old & Badgers Rising Star (Bozo) 19 yrs old. This also marks the day where I can quit putting a # on each ride I make on Grace. The rules of the Retired Racehorse Project states that before Jan 1 of the competition year the horse you are wanting to compete on can have a maximum of 15 rides in their second career. I picked Grace up on 10/31/15, between then and Dec 31 I only put a total of 7 rides on her. I thought a good down time would help her transition into her new life. She has brought so much to my life already in the short 2 months and 7 rides. My friends and family can see the joy I have each time I am on her. 3 more days until the entries open for the Retired Racehorse Project. I think I have most everything ready to turn in and then I will impatiently wait to hear if I get accepted. I don't know how long that will take but it will be on my mind constantly. I am not a patient person. I have a lot of goals this year, some I may make mention of in time and some I will keep to myself. No matter what I may or may not end up reaching I hope that this year is ridiculously amazing! So here's to 2016! Go for your goals and don't let anyone stop you!!!
